Overview
The 1-year Counselling and Psychotherapy Foundation Certificate is an evening attended course, (Wednesday 6pm-10pm) taught by experienced psychotherapists who are in private practice with clients and patients. Classes are usually small groups of 6 up to 20 students for close support and quality teaching. The Foundations course’ at Cert Level-3 includes some Psychotherapy training too.
What will you learn?
This course is designed to equip students with real-life practical life skills to help others that are suffering from mental illness, while simultaneously teaching students how to cope with their own personal issues and ultimately have more fulfilling relationships with others.
The Career Path
We have found that many students go on to study at Diploma level, as this course counts towards the Level-4 diploma hours and is helpful for those studying at Level-6, enabling them to become Counsellors and Psychotherapists, because courses are fully accredited by the CPFI and also recognised by the BACP.
Who the course is for?

You may also complete the Foundation course fully ONLINE, but you need to know that will not be recognised in UK, if you complete it online.

Career path to become a Counsellor
After graduation from the level-3 foundation certificate, we find students have the ‘knowledge bug’ and go on to learn more about themselves and the people around them. Many become qualified Counsellors, Advanced Counsellors, or even Psychotherapists. Once enrolled on the foundation course we can show you a timeline of a clear career path you can take, and we will support you every step of the way on your journey.
